Vivid IoV Labs
Vivid IoV Labs formed from the winning team of UCL and Ripple’s Block-Sprint 2019 Hackathon. We are creating a more inclusive internet using emerging web 3.0 technologies.
Our focus is on the Internet of Value and micropayments, by using and developing new tools we are committed to creating next gen applications for fairer content revenue distribution and superior user experiences.
Our app is a request based live streaming app and has been dubbed the Uber for live streaming! Utilising micropayments the platform incentivises all parties through an innovative revenue distribution model for content.
About the team
The founding team has 4 co-founders. We have a good mix of creative and technical skills, as well as boasting significant experience of working within technology startups.

What we are looking for
We are looking for mostly technical skills as per below, however if you think you could add something we would be pleased to hear from you!
The following skills or experience are our priorities:
Vue JS experience or willing to learn
Node JS experience or willing to learn
Live video streaming experience or similar production environment:
Understanding of video technologies including: encoding, compression, streaming, formats, bit-rates, multicasting.
Understanding of HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), MPEG Dash specification, RTMP and RTSP
Understanding of video codecs such as H.264/AVC and H.265/HEVC
Understanding of systems for over-the-top (OTT) delivery
Appreciation for Digital Rights Management (DRM) solutions (e.g. Marlin, CENC, FairPlay)
Experience of encoding hardware / software, i.e. ffmpeg, Harmonic, Elemental
Interledger JS experience or willing to learn
Rust / Solidity Smart Contract experience or willing to learn
UI/UX experience including HTML + CSS skills
Equally important is being a complementary fit into the team.
